Dr. Steinman has over 30 years of experience focusing on the relief of suffering experienced by those with serious medical illness and its treatment. Common problems include depression, anxiety, panic, fear, difficulties coping, guilt, loss and body image changes. Other symptoms Dr. Steinman can help with include sleeplessness, fatigue, chemo brain and other cognitive changes, and confusion. Treatment includes a combination of talk therapy and careful use of medications. I work to form a collaborative relationship with my patient's medical team so as to provide the most integrative and state of the art care. In addition, she has extensive experience helping caregivers of those who have such conditions.
Dr. Steinman is an INELDA trained End of Life Coach and as such works alongside hospice at the end of life to help with the planning and emotional aspects of dying. In addition, she provides help for those grieving the losses inherent in losing a loved one.
